If you’re a fan and haven’t heard the great news, you might want to stop and listen. Next year in February, Panic! At the Disco is starting their Death of a Bachelor tour. Here is the best part. They’re coming to Boise! March 19, at the Taco Bell Arena.
Panic! At the Disco was formed in 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band consisted of only four young men: Brendon Urie the singer, Dallon Weekes the bassist, Kenneth Harris the guitarist, and Dan Pawlovich the drummer. Although these men were in the band, it was founded by different people: Brendon Urie, Brent Wilson, Spencer Smith, and Ryan Ross. The bands first demo was recorded while they were still in high school and shortly after was released. The album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, was popularized by the song ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’, and was certified a double platinum album in 2006. During the tour of the newly released album, band member, Brent Wilson was fired and replaced by Jon Walker.
Influenced by the Beatles, the Zombies, and the Beach Boys, the band came out with their second album, ‘Pretty. Odd.’ in 2008. Sadly the guitarist and bassist left, starting their own band called the Young Veins. Even with this setback, Brendon and Spencer still continued to work on their next album, ‘New Perspective’. During this process they recruited Dallon Weekes and Ian Crawford. Although they only played for the band in live performances and tours. After a while Weekes became an official member of the band in 2010, towards the end of their third album ‘Vices and Virtues’, which was released in 2011.
The album was solely recorded by Brendon and Spencer. After the release, the band started on the recording their next album, ‘To Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!’. Before the release of the album, Smith “unofficially” left the band, due to health and drug issues. in 2015, Smith officially left the band. Not long after, Weekes, once again, became a live performance only member. With this action, it left Brendon the only official member of the band.
In 2015, Panic! At the Disco released their first single ‘Hallelujah’ from their fifth album, ‘Death of a Bachelor’. Which is the album the band will be touring with next year. Other bands touring along with Panic! At the Disco will be Mister Wives, and Saint Motel. If you want to go, tickets can be bought on Panic! At the Disco’s official website.
