Since Messenger Pizza opened in downtown Nampa in October 2010, business has been booming. With over 11 original pizzas, many people agree, it’s the one of the best pizzas in town. A review on Facebook says, “I love Messenger Pizza and Brew!! I love the food made from fresh ingredients. I love the excellent customer service (its feels like I’m talking to friends). I love the atmosphere in that everyone is accepted and treated equality.”
On Google Reviews, they are rated 4.4 out of 5 stars and on Facebook 4.6 out of 5. They have a wide variety of pizzas and sandwiches, along with a great salad bar. The menu includes items like The Drunken Goat and Toga Party Pizzas as well as the Bomber and California sandwiches. This month’s special feature is a BLT on toasted Idaho sourdough, straight from their own oven. Messenger strives to use local and organic ingredients as much as possible, making the pizza as healthy as possible. Although, each slice of pizza is huge! It takes two plates just to make sure it doesn’t hang off onto the table.
Messenger is really involved in the community too, which is part of what makes the locals love them so much. This past Christmas, Flying M Coffee Garage hosted a gingerbread house making contest and Messenger Pizza, along with the soon to come Savage Baking Co., entered. Fun was had for all in seeing all the creations and voting for their favorites.
In the almost 7 years since Messenger Pizza opened, they have helped the community in so many ways. They’ve provided a great hangout spot, awesome jobs, and of course, amazing food. So here’s to another 7, Messenger, and thanks again!
